Use Assessments Ethically

Assessment Systems International, Inc. maintains and insists on high ethical standards when assessment instruments are used. There are two parts to our commitment:

  • First is to the people using our instruments. ASI provides certification training to aid in the use and understanding of our products.

ASI provides certification training for internal and external consultants, trainers and psychologists who use our systems. The certification is usually conducted by the author of the given instruments or tools. Certification training emphasizes action-oriented learning that helps participants develop their competence and confidence with the assessments.

Feedback is immediate at all certification workshops. Annual User's Meetings and advanced training are also available.

  • The second part of our commitment relates to the people being assessed and the standards we have established.
  1. Inform people why they are being assessed.
  2. Tell people, in advance, what decisions will be made as a result of the assessment(s).
  3. People need to know, in advance, who will have access to the information.
  4. Provide those assessed with copies of the feedback reports.
  5. Allow people to decline participation without fear of reprisal.
  6. Use assessment instruments and reports for developmental purposes.
